So I just finished up on my midterms, all of which ate away ate both my social and internet life! And I immediately thought of lightwyrm here, since I took a little absence and I thought time management would be an excellent topic of discussion.
So Its probably safe to say that we're all incredibly passionate about not just art but our OWN art in general. And sometimes its hard to find a little spare time between work and friends and school to do art for ourselves.
My question to you, how do you manage your "art life"? That is, just sitting down and sketching something in your head or coloring something that's been sitting in your copious amounts of files for weeks?
My answer? I DON'T!
Alas that is my answer as well. Before I started web design it used to be simple: Whatever time I didn't spend on life I spent on art life
Now... life is rather complicated. Not to mention uncertain.

Think everyone's in a bit of an uncertain position with a lot of things these days, I'm finding it increasingly difficult to find time to sit down and do the things I want to, because I'm spending a lot of my current time trying to earn money to keep a mortgage going. And like you say lochi, a lot of the other spare time is taken up spending time with friends and family, which is of course extremely important. Now ideally if I could find a job, which pays me to sit down and draw family and friends and pay my mortgage, I'd be in a win-win situation lol.
Just make sure you carry that little sketchpad about everywhere (I don't) and doodle whereever you go!
